DUBAI, March 16. The death toll from U.S. airstrikes on Yemen has risen to 23 and at least 13 people have been wounded, the Houthi rebel-controlled Ansar Allah television channel Al Masirah reported.
According to the channel, the death toll from the strike on the Yemeni city of Saada has risen from six to 10, while 13 people have died as a result of strikes on the Yemeni capital Sanaa. The dead include four children and one woman.
On Saturday evening, the Al Masirah television channel reported that air strikes had hit Houthi-controlled Sanaa. Later, US President Donald Trump said he had ordered military action against the Ansar Allah movement. According to the Al Hadath television channel, the headquarters of the Houthi Supreme Political Council, weapons depots and rebel command centres were shelled in Sanaa. The US also hit Yemeni rebel targets in Saada, Dhamar and Al-Bayda governorates.
