PRAGUE - smell of spring and celebrate Easter with the biggest markets in the Czech Republic. Spring markets will offer folk entertainment, demonstrations of traditional customs and crafts and good food. The Easter Markets on Old Town Square will be open from 21 March to 12 April 2026. The historic centre of Prague, namely Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square, will welcome the Spring Festival with traditional Easter Markets, which will open their doors to visitors from 21 March to 12 April 2026.
In the spirit of national traditions - Spring Market Old Town Square
Entertainment, demonstrations of traditional customs and crafts as well as good food and drink are an essential part of the Easter Market. In stylishly decorated stalls, producers, craftsmen and vendors offer typical Easter goods, spring gifts and specialties. Several types of Easter eggs, ceramics, tablecloths and blankets with spring motifs, wicker, straw and straw products and much more will be available for purchase.
Authentic crafts and a rich cultural programme in Prague
The Easter market offers not only entertainment, a wide range of good food and drink, but also authentic demonstrations of traditional customs and crafts. The centre of the action will be the traditional Easter decorated birch tree, under which you can enjoy a cultural programme in the afternoon. There will be performances by professional and amateur singing and dancing groups and ethnographic and folklore groups from various parts of the Czech Republic and abroad. There will also be a varied craft programme for children and adults, as well as children's workshops and pomlázek knitting. You can also look forward to interactive chalkboards, intergenerational workshops for children and cheerful photo booths. The Old Town Square will be ablaze with live flowers, which will appear in large boxes all over the area.

Traditional specialities in the centre of Prague
The unmistakable charm of Easter is also created by the gastronomic specialties. Traditional spring and Easter goods with an emphasis on Czech products will be available for purchase. In addition to the popular Czech meat sausage and fragrant gingerbread, market guests will enjoy traditional dishes such as Easter lamb, sweet mazanec, egg spread or spring stuffing. Lokše, Frgály, vegetarian dishes and ice cream scoops will also be on offer. The delicacies will be complemented by small decorations with Easter and spring motifs. Pottery, pom poms, Easter eggs including wire and wooden ones, crocheted blankets, wicker, straw and straw products and much more will be available for purchase.
Markets will be a little greener again. The decorations are made of recycled material, there will be no shortage of cup and cup collectors, cutlery and straws are fully recyclable. Various charity associations will also be taking turns selling their products at three stalls throughout the market.
