On this occasion, General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed the strategic goal of building a strong cultural base by 2035 to promote national revival and strengthen the spiritual strength of the Chinese people.
Xi Jinping called for the further development of a culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics, drawing on China's rich civilization while reflecting modern trends in information technology. He said it was crucial to promote innovation, creativity and a harmonious combination of social and economic benefits.
He also stressed the importance of protecting and transmitting cultural heritage, building a legal framework for cultural governance and strengthening the soft power of Chinese culture on the international stage. This includes promoting international cultural exchange and cooperation.
"A strong culture is the foundation of a strong nation," Xi Jinping concluded his speech, calling for a determined pursuit of reform and innovation in the field of culture.
