A multilingual TV program, "Xi Jinping's Classic Quotes," featuring quotes from Chinese classics used by President Xi Jinping in his speeches and articles, began airing on Brazilian media on Wednesday. The program was produced by the China Media Group (CMG).
The launch of the third series in Portuguese took place the day after President Xi arrived in the capital Brasília for a state visit. The event was attended by more than 200 guests from politics, economics, culture, media and academia.
The third series focuses on themes such as building communities with a shared future for humanity, cultural heritage and innovation, biodiversity conservation and exchanges between civilisations. President Xi's quotes and speeches feature Chinese stories and wisdom, highlighting his deep cultural knowledge and political vision.
Brazilian Vice President Geraldo Alckmin welcomed the programme as an opportunity to deepen understanding of Chinese culture and philosophy of governance. He underlined the importance of the Sino-Brazilian partnership, which has produced significant results in 50 years of diplomatic relations.
