Industrial producer prices were down 0.2 % m-o-m and up 0.6 % y-o-y. Construction work prices increased by 0.4 % m-o-m and were 1.9 % higher y-o-y. Prices of market services for businesses increased by 1.3 % m-o-m and by 3.4 % y-o-y.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\"On a year-on-year basis, industrial prices moderated again, this time to 0.6 %, yet they have been rising for six months in a row. Agricultural prices were down 0.2 % year-on-year. Construction prices were 1.9 % higher year-on-year and prices of market services for businesses were 3.4 % higher,\"<\/em>&nbsp;notes <strong>Vladim\u00edr Klime\u0161<\/strong>, Head of the Department of Industrial Prices and Foreign Trade Statistics of the CZSO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gnews.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/zari-zemedelstvi-1024x700.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14733\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Prices&nbsp;<strong>agricultural producers<\/strong>&nbsp;with&nbsp;<strong>Monthly<\/strong>&nbsp;increased by 2.1 %. Prices of fresh vegetables increased by 12.0 %, eggs by 3.3 %, cereals by 2.3 %, oilseeds by 2.0 %, milk by 1.1 % and cattle by 0.6 %. Prices for fruit fell by 7.2 %, poultry by 3.3 % and pigs by 1.7 %.&nbsp;<strong>Year-on-year<\/strong>&nbsp;were the prices <strong>agricultural producers&nbsp;<\/strong>prices fell by 0.2 % (0.5 % in August). In crop production, prices fell by 2.9 %. Prices of potatoes and cereals were 21.2 and 5.9 % lower respectively, while prices of fruit and oilseeds increased by 32.2 and 5.4 % respectively. In livestock production, prices were 4.1 % higher. Cattle prices increased by 8.9 % and milk prices by 13.8 %. Egg prices fell by 10.6 %, poultry by 10.5 % and pigs by 8.8 %.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gnews.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/zari-prumysl-1024x644.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14734\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Interim&nbsp;<\/strong>prices&nbsp;<strong>industrial manufacturers&nbsp;<\/strong>decreased by 0.2 %. In particular, prices in the coke and refined petroleum products sectors decreased. Prices of motor vehicles were down by 0.4 %, basic metals by 0.5 % and hard coal and lignite by 0.6 %. Prices in the electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning sectors increased by 0.9 %, wood and wood and cork products also by 0.9 %, and paper and paper products by 0.7 %. Prices of food products were higher by 0.1 %, of which prices of dairy products were higher by 2.0 %. Prices&nbsp;<strong>industrial manufacturers&nbsp;<\/strong>with<strong>&nbsp;year-on-year<\/strong>&nbsp;Prices of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning were up by 5.0 %, motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers by 2.9 % and repair, maintenance and installation of machinery and equipment by 4.7 %. Prices were particularly lower in the coke and refined petroleum products sector. Prices of fabricated metal products fell by 1.9 %, other non-metallic mineral products by 1.4 %, hard coal, lignite and lignite by 3.3 %, basic metals by 1.3 % and oil and gas by 21.1 1 %. Prices of food products decreased by 0.4 %, of which mill and starch products decreased by 11.8 %, industrial feeds decreased by 7.5 %, while prices of dairy products increased by 6.8 %. When assessed by&nbsp;<strong>the main industry groups<\/strong> prices of capital goods rose by 2.8 %. Prices of intermediate goods decreased by 0.9 % and energy by 0.1 1 %. Prices&nbsp;<strong>industrial manufacturers<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>without energy<\/strong> were <strong>year-on-year<\/strong> higher by 0.9 % (up by 1.1 1 % in August).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gnews.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/zari-stavby-1024x640.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14735\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Prices&nbsp;<strong>construction works&nbsp;<\/strong>is estimated&nbsp;<strong>Monthly&nbsp;<\/strong>increased by 0.4 %,prices of materials and products consumed in the construction industry decreased by 0.1 %. Prices&nbsp;<strong>construction works<\/strong>&nbsp;with&nbsp;<strong>year-on-year&nbsp;<\/strong>prices of materials and products consumed in the construction sector were estimated to have increased by 1.9 % yoy (1.7 % in August).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gnews.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/zari-sluzby-1024x712.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14736\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Prices&nbsp;<strong>market services for businesses&nbsp;<\/strong>with&nbsp;<strong>Monthly<\/strong>&nbsp;increased by 1.3 %. Prices for programming and broadcasting services increased by 17.5 %, advertising and market research services by 16.7 % and employment services by 2.2 %. Prices for market services for businesses not including advertising services increased by 0.2 %. Prices&nbsp;<strong>market services for businesses<\/strong> were <strong>year-on-year <\/strong>higher by 3.4 % (same as in August). Prices for advertising and market research services rose by 9.8 %, employment services by 9.5 %, real estate services by 7.7 % and legal and accounting services by 4.7 %. Prices for market services for businesses not including advertising services were higher by 2.9 % (the same as in August).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EU Industrial Producer Prices - August 2024 (preliminary data)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In European Union (EU) countries, according to data published by Eurostat, prices&nbsp;<strong>industrial manufacturers<\/strong> in August <strong>Monthly<\/strong> increased by 0.4 % (0.8 % in July). The largest price increases were in Estonia by 2.2 %, in Greece by 1.7 % and in Spain by 1.5 %. Prices were 0.5 % higher in Austria, 0.4 % higher in Slovakia and 0.2 % higher in Germany. Prices decreased by 0,4 % in the Czech Republic and by 0,7 % in Poland. Prices fell most in Ireland by 3,8 %, in Lithuania by 1,7 % and in Romania by 1,6 %. In August in the EU&nbsp;<strong>year-on-year<\/strong>&nbsp;Prices fell by 2.1 % (1.9 % in July), with the largest price decreases in Slovakia, Luxembourg and France, by 18.3 %, 6.9 % and 6.3 % respectively. Prices were lower in Poland by 4.9 %, in Austria by 4.5 % and in Germany by 1.1 1 %. Prices in the Czech Republic were 1,1 % higher.
