A survey of foreign Internet users shows that the Spring Festival is becoming an important gateway to learning about Chinese traditions and lifestyle.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"wnd_TextBlock_60981770986761030787_inner_1\">The survey was published on CGTN's platforms in English, Spanish, French, Arabic and Russian. Over a 24-hour period, 5,154 international respondents took part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"wnd_TextBlock_60981770986761030787_inner_2\">Growing interest in Chinese culture<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"wnd_TextBlock_60981770986761030787_inner_3\">The results show that 95.1 % respondents are interested in the Spring Festival celebration. Approximately 95 % participants also believe that the inclusion of the festival on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity confirms the growing global recognition of Chinese culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"wnd_TextBlock_60981770986761030787_inner_4\">A total of 91.7 % respondents said that the values associated with the Spring Festival - unity, friendship, peace and harmony - correspond to the basic values of human civilization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"wnd_TextBlock_60981770986761030787_inner_5\">Foreign visitors want to celebrate in China<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"wnd_TextBlock_60981770986761030787_inner_6\">Approximately 86.7 % respondents would like to celebrate the Spring Festival directly in China. At the same time, the number of flight bookings by foreign tourists during the holiday is rising sharply. According to 88.2 % survey participants, the growing global influence of Chinese culture is also boosting the consumer market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"wnd_TextBlock_60981770986761030787_inner_7\">The research also shows that 92.1 % respondents find the integration of traditional Chinese culture with modern trends an attractive and understandable cultural experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"wnd_TextBlock_60981770986761030787_inner_8\">The \u201eBecoming Chinese\u201c trend is gaining popularity<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"wnd_TextBlock_60981770986761030787_inner_9\">About 80.8 % respondents perceive the \u201eBecoming Chinese\u201c trend as a shift from unilateral cultural export to bilateral cultural exchange. A further 78.7 % respondents see the Spring Festival as an important window into Chinese culture and lifestyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"wnd_TextBlock_60981770986761030787_inner_10\">According to 76.3 % respondents, this trend also reflects China's openness not only in the economic and political spheres, but also in sharing lifestyle and cultural values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"wnd_TextBlock_60981770986761030787_inner_11\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/news.cgtn.com\/news\/2026-02-11\/CGTN-poll-Data-about-the-Chinese-New-Year-1KG7BaupLgc\/p.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CMG<\/a><\/strong><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Global interest in Chinese New Year and Chinese culture is growing, according to a new survey by CGTN.
