BUDAPEST - The facts are stubborn: there are no technical obstacles to resuming oil shipments to Hungary via the Friendship pipeline, just Ukraine's political decision - that's what you can read in the reply letter the prime minister sent to European Council President Ant\u00f3nio Costa, which he posted on his Facebook page on Tuesday.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Viktor Orb\u00e1n wrote in the letter that \u201eas you know, I am one of the most disciplined and consistent members of the European Council. I fully understand your concerns. However, you must also see the absurdity of the situation: we make a decision that is financially beneficial to Ukraine, which I personally do not support, and then Ukraine causes an energy emergency in Hungary and you ask me to behave as if nothing had happened.\u201c<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The prime minister stressed that this was impossible and that he could not support any decision favourable to Ukraine until it returned to normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
