Fluid flips, dynamic dance moves and highly synchronized human-robot interaction... the huge response and viral sensation caused by humanoid robots at the Spring Festival Gala hosted by China Media Group, the most watched TV show celebrating Chinese New Year, continues to grow.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A global survey launched by CGTN shows that 94 % respondents consider the CMG Spring Festival Gala as a key platform showcasing China's scientific and technological innovation, with humanoid robots embodying the rapid progress of China's new high-quality productive forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201eYes, it's China!\u201c wrote one Algerian internet user about the humanoid robots\u201e performance.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He continued, \u201eAt first I couldn't believe they were robots - their speed, flawless execution and especially their coordination with each other was amazing. The best part is that they didn't make any mistakes at all!\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The survey also found that 88.8 % respondents believe that China's robotics industry has made the leap from robots that were just \u201emechanical boxes\u201c to robots with embodied intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Tunisian user described the performance as a \u201elively and gratifying artistic feast,\u201c a sentiment shared by 86.5 % respondents, who agree that the organic collaboration of human creativity and artificial intelligence brought a whole new aesthetic experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The humanoid robots on the stage of the Gala went from the role of \u201edisplays\u201c to \u201epartners\u201c, moving from \u201ebeing watched\u201c to \u201eactive engagement\u201c and from \u201esimple movement\u201c to \u201epractical application\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Associated Press called the robots a \u201ekey part\u201c of the Spring Festival Gala. One Russian-speaking user noted that the humanoid robots are impressive and reflect the rapid development of China's robotics and AI industry, a sentiment shared by 93.1 % respondents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One user wrote about the robotic martial arts performance: \u201eTruly breathtaking - what a wonderful blend of tradition and cutting edge technology!\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the survey, 90.4 % respondents agree that humanoid robots represent the strength of China's scientific and technological innovation, showing China's cultural charm as well as technological capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rapid development of humanoid robots on stage at the Gala Dinner showed the world how far China's robotics and embodied intelligence industry has advanced, and boosted confidence in the future of Chinese technological innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From DeepSeek to drones and intelligent interactions, 88.2 % respondents believe China is leading the AI transition from algorithms to physical AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2025, China produced 773,000 industrial robots, up 28 % year-on-year, a new record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Embodied intelligence has been identified as an industry of the future in the draft 15th Five-Year Plan, a strategic document that will guide the country's economic and social development until 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201eRobots and artificial intelligence will become the main driving force for increasing China's scientific and technological strength.\u201c - 87.9 % respondents agree with this statement, looking forward to further advances in China's technological capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, 93.6 % respondents agree that China's scientific and technological innovation has strengthened global technological and industrial smart manufacturing, contributing to global innovation. At the same time, 93.3 % expressed hope that their countries will continue to strengthen scientific and technological cooperation with China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The survey was published on CGTN's platforms in English, Spanish, French, Arabic and Russian and attracted 13,514 participants who shared their views over 40 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
