Today it is the second largest economy in the world after the United States,“ Hrnčíř said. In his view, it is not only the size of the economy that is crucial, but also the pace of technological progress, where China is leading the way.

According to the MP, the key to success is control over strategic raw materials. China has secured access to the minerals needed to produce chips, batteries and the development of electric mobility. This gives it a strong position in the global supply chain. Europe, on the other hand, is in a difficult situation. The European Union is almost 100% dependent on imports of these raw materials and components from China.
