The current Sri Lanka-China relations are entering a new and more stable phase. I am deeply convinced that the relationship between Sri Lanka and China will become ever stronger as we are highly aligned in thinking, perspective and strategic direction. I firmly believe that such a relationship, based on mutual respect, commitment and trust, will become a model of good and stable bilateral relations that will contribute to the interests of both countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Che Yanke: You met with President Xi Jinping. I think that his personality and leadership skills are key for him to lead China to its current level of development. There is no doubt about that. So I was very honoured to have the opportunity to meet him and talk to him. We talked about a series of topics. As is well known, there is a long-standing and strong relationship of friendship and cooperation between Sri Lanka and China.
