We all know that life is not fair. Therefore, talking and writing about justice is often unnecessary. This is particularly evident today at the world's biggest art exhibition - the Venice Biennale. One look at the Giardini della Biennale is enough. That's why I decided not to go to Venice and to go directly to my daughter, who lives in one of the most beautiful regions of Italy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, May 10, the date of this short post, the Iranian Embassy in Armenia congratulated White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt on the birth of her daughter, while also recalling the US attack on an Iranian girls\u201e school. \u201cThe 168 children that your boss killed in the school in Minaab and that you acquitted were also children. When you kiss your child, think of the mothers of these children,\" the embassy said on the social network X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The famous Agatha Christie put it more clearly: \u201eA mother's love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows neither law nor mercy, it pursues and crushes everything in its path.\u201c<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ukraine and Russia<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Russia's request, a brief ceasefire began on Saturday. Despite the nervousness in the Kremlin, the military parade in Moscow and the commemoration of the end of the Great Patriotic War at the Embassy of the Russian Federation went off without a hitch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The parade was held on a smaller scale, both because of the risk of provocations and attacks by Ukrainian drones and in the spirit of the new era, which no longer requires the demonstration of tanks and missiles. More importantly, it symbolically confirmed Moscow's completed turn towards the East and South-East of the planet. At the same time, Ukraine has not dared to ignore the wishes of Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the author, Ukraine's military, political and demographic prospects are deteriorating despite the statements of its Western supporters. There is no hope of significant improvement even after the eventual cessation of fighting. In this view, Ukraine's armed forces are defeated and the country will not become part of either NATO or the European Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hope that the end of the fighting is near is positive, but it may not be fulfilled within a few months. President Putin has given no indication of the speed of further developments, leaving wide room for interpretation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the author, the bottom line is that Russia will not return the territories it has acquired. According to him, this is already acknowledged by some representatives of Ukraine's allies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Merz, Fico and Europe Day<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz criticised Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico's participation in the Victory Day celebrations in Moscow. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova responded by saying that without the Soviet Union's victory there would not have been a Europe Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201eWithout the victory of the Soviet people there would be no Europe Day. There would have been only one huge concentration camp with gas chambers,\u201c <\/em>said Zakharova.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the author, it is a reminder of the historical context that should not be ignored by contemporary European politicians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Signals from Moscow<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Serious observers wonder what President Putin's latest remarks mean. The author does not rule out that they may not mean anything specific, because the Russian president has worded his words very carefully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, however, he reminds us that the next six months may be the last period of relative freedom of action for President Trump before domestic political pressures in the United States become fully apparent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parade and historical parallels<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Victory Day is, according to the author, a special holiday. In his view, Nazism has not been completely eradicated and some historical lessons remain unfinished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also recalls the inscriptions on the walls of the Reichstag, which were written in Russian after the conquest of Berlin, and stresses that history cannot be rewritten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to him, the Russian word \u201ePobeda\u201c symbolically means the state after misery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Julius Caesar and the warnings of history<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those interested in history, the author recalls the assassination of Julius Caesar. Despite being warned by an oracle and omens, Caesar was assassinated on March 15, 44 BC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He left behind the famous \u201eAlea iacta est\u201c - The dice are cast. This statement symbolizes the moment when the decision is made and there is no turning back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

President Xi Jinping<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the context of President Donald Trump's planned visit to China, the author draws attention to Xi Jinping's emphasis on ideological loyalty and the fight against corruption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the author, trade, supply chains, the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian oil and the Taiwan issue will be the main topics of discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The United States is not expected to restrict arms supplies to Taiwan. It is more likely that they will be confirmed after Trump's visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Israel-US war on Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the author, the war, which the United States launched without consulting its NATO allies, has caused new tensions within the alliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The debate in Washington is focused on the question of who emerged from the conflict as the winner and who as the loser. However, fuel prices, relations with the Gulf states and the future of the Strait of Hormuz may play a key role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, the humanitarian consequences of the conflicts in Gaza, Iran and Lebanon cannot be overlooked and will burden the region for many years to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the author, this should be enough to make the hot political heads in Prague realize the seriousness of the current situation. Sometimes, even simple cryotherapy can help, which flushes out the hormones of happiness and improves mood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
