About half of the exports were artificial intelligence-related products. That's according to Bloomberg calculations based on data from Chinese customs authorities, investment bank Goldman Sachs and Japanese financial services company Nomura Holdings.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the data, the total volume of exports increased by 14 percent year-on-year. About half of the goods sold abroad were data processing equipment, including laptops, tablets and their components, as well as microchips. Meanwhile, exports of microchips doubled compared to last year. <strong>Bloomberg<\/strong> pointed out that the growth in export earnings was also supported by a global shortage of semiconductors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the British bank<strong> Standard Chartered<\/strong> China became the world's largest supplier of AI-related goods last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Figures from the General Administration of Customs of the PRC show that China's trade with other countries rose 18.2 percent year-on-year to $2.32 trillion in the January-April period. Exports in the first four months of the year reached $1.33 trillion, while imports totaled $989 billion. In April alone, China's trade turnover with other countries increased 7.2 percent from March to $634.06 billion.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>China is the world's largest producer and supplies a wide range of products to international markets. It is also a major trading partner for more than <strong>150 countries and regions<\/strong>.
