The building on Wenceslas Square has been a national cultural monument since 2017. The sister-in-law of former President V\u00e1clav Havel sold Lucerna for less than CZK 1 billion to the financial company BTL, retaining a 25 percent stake. Havlov\u00e1 also announced that the money she received will be used primarily for repairs and reconstruction of the listed Lucerna complex.
