BEIJING, Oct 12 - Chinese President Xi Jinping on Saturday sent a congratulatory telegram to Ethiopian President Taye Atske-Selassie on his inauguration as President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
Xi pointed out that relations between China and Ethiopia have developed rapidly and all-round in recent years. Mutual political trust between the two countries has continued to deepen and practical cooperation in various fields has achieved fruitful results.
Xi Jinping said he attaches great importance to the development of China-Ethiopia relations and is willing to work with President Tayo Atske-Selassie to implement the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum 2024 and promote the China-Ethiopia strategic partnership to continuously achieve new results and better benefit the people of the two countries.
