The third edition of the China International Supply Chain Fair ended with a record number of partnerships and agreements. Over the course of five days, thousands of companies from around the world established new business ties with Chinese enterprises.
The third edition of the fair ended in Beijing China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), which has become one of the world's most important meetings in the field of logistics, production and innovation. This year's event was attended by more than 6 000 agreements and cooperation plans, with the total number of participants - online and on-site - exceeding 210 000.
Exhibitors at the fair included 1 200 companies from China and abroad. This year there has been a significant shift: more than 24 000 targeted matchmaking sessionswhich is quadruple compared to the previous year. At the same time, it was stated 152 new products, technologies and services - 67 % more than last year.
"We are not concerned with short-term volumes of business on the spot," he said Li Xingqian, Vice-Chairman China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). "We focus on creating long-term and mutually beneficial partnerships."
This year, international companies 35 % of all exhibitors, compared to 26 % in the first year. Via 65 % participants were the companies in the ranking Global Fortune 500 or leaders in their fields. The number of participating countries and regions has grown from 55 to 75including representatives from the US, EU and Japan.
Li further stressed that the expo shows China's strength in global supply chains. "China plays a key role in global manufacturing. You cannot connect to the world without being connected to China," he said.
Already, the fourth edition of the event has been signed up 102 companies and institutions, which represents 50% increase compared to the same period last year.
