On 22 October, the Louvre Museum in Paris reopened to visitors after three days. It was closed because of the theft of rare jewels on Sunday.
However, the Apollo Gallery, from where the thieves stole the precious jewellery, including necklaces, emerald earrings and a sapphire tiara, remains closed, museum officials told AFP.
The Louvre Museum was robbed on the morning of 19 October, with four thieves stealing eight precious jewels. Their estimated value is 88 million euros (about CZK 2.14 billion).
