In reflecting on the subtle pathways from thought to cell - or the deep principles of psychosomatics - we have addressed the pressing questions of the origins of so-called diseases, or healing. Today I would like to "think" (I laugh at my ridiculousness) about what is at the very source. Why stress, dissatisfaction and all negative feelings and emotions arise within us. We've talked a bit about HOW this happens, now let's move on and ask the question WHY? I highly recommend going back to the age of 3-5 and asking why, why, why... i.e. wondering about the causes. Not so much about the effects or the means or the technicalities. And rather than understand, let's try to feel. Because the truth cannot be understood. Our minds have no ability to distinguish truth from untruth. The truth simply appears. It IS. The world is a purely subjective matter. And so Truth is not something objective and definable. Truth is beyond form - even reform.
The question of WHY is more difficult to answer (for parents, teachers, doctors, scientists and spiritual leaders). Why? Probably because they themselves are often groping. Few people answer immediately and clearly: they do NOT know. Why - that would surely be a long discussion about our human ego... It is much easier and more pleasant to explain how this or that happens. (Children, do you hear? It's a kneeling game. That's what people in the village used to believe... It's Mr. Lorenc.) And our little selves are content to float around with a feeling of "I know more than they do". Isn't that cute? Forgive me, but on this level, it's nice to smile. I go by the motto: The more serious the subject, the more I smile... you may well think I've lost my mind. I'll take it. I suggest we at least try our hand at independence (real and consistent) from what others think of us. That way we hold the key to our cell...
Seriousness itself is a manifestation of the human mind, and the mind comes from the ego. Lightness, humour and play, on the other hand, is our (divine) nature. Good for him who plays, who engages in what he enjoys. As soon as you perceive seriousness and complexity, as soon as you notice that something is not right, for example, talk about God from the mouth of a frowning clergyman surrounded by material possessions, or perhaps a stressed or gloomy therapist, doctor or counselor on any issue, watch out! Note the clear distinction between theory and practice. Between complicated talk and results. Professor Alexander Flemming described the discovery of penicillin in a page and a half. It's quite obvious that the more we explain and talk, the further we get from the truth. The truth is always as simple as a slap in the face. "Let your speech be yes, yes, no, no" (Jesus Christ). Have you never experienced a situation where someone tells you how interested they are in your future and have your welfare at heart, and yet you get the distinct feeling that they are only interested in your money? Haven't you noticed how often someone asks you how you are, how happy they are to see you again - it's written plainly on their face: Fuck you... How quickly the arm flinches after a "sincere" handshake, as if bitten... Pure psychosomatics in practice. You can experience it daily on the street or even see it on TV at the highest political or professional levels.
Lightness and humour are our divine nature.
The true Master is silent (and smiling...). Here, dear reader, you can clearly see that I am no Master (although I smile almost all the time). Yet I am so bold as to try to express myself here. Please have compassion and patience with me. For I enjoy playing with words, playing with the reader's feelings. I admit it. Again, I don't care what anyone thinks of me... I don't take seriously the European Parliament, the inhabitants of Buckingham Palace or the Vatican. I don't take any notice of you. I'm much more interested in the cats that live with me, or the bees on the blossoms of a cherry tree I once planted...
But let's cut to the chase. What is it that I want to tell you? Let's focus on ourselves. And ask why, why. Let's look for the source of stress and anger. Where does it keep coming from? The only thing we can change is ourselves. Our perception, our intent, our character. Besides, it's the only reason we're here in the first place. It's our duty. Play and lightness are direct means to shift consciousness. Let's want to change! Let's want to be good, kind, compassionate. Intention is important. Let's put the Creator of Life, God, if you will, first. Whatever we prioritize will be taken away from us. Possessions, power, respectability, importance, positions, roles, even health or enlightenment. The first and key commandment of the Moses-mediated Ten Commandments. If, without any logic or rational analysis, we surrender to true love for all that is, we win and save ourselves a lot of suffering and misunderstanding. I refer again to early childhood. It is THAT unwillingness or inability to be a naive child that is the universal trigger for unconscious stresses and a chain of negative feelings, emotions, illnesses...
Put the Creator of Life, God, first.
Let us believe in the Light that created the world. Let us trust in Life and the Supreme Energy that created it. Are you not in awe that the universe and life came from nothing? IT - is within us! THAT - we are part of it. Accept that and it's done. Bet on God! On Love. And know that even here the Musketeer's maxim applies: all for one, one for all. Humanity is one energetic unit. Every action and thought we make affects all of humanity. And in turn, each of us is affected by the total consciousness of humanity. So could mere consideration be enough...
Focusing on the good is very helpful on this path. In practice, notice the positive, pleasant aspects more than the opposite ones. In individual events, in individual persons. Look through the lens of optimism. For example, even the Buckinghams are quite healthy, good-looking people, traditionally taking homeopathic remedies, and the Queen was the moral backbone of the entire British Empire during the Second World War. Plus, she wears a very well coordinated suit with a hat and handbag. And the Vatican's clean skirts look pretty good too, don't they? Yes, let's have fun, be kind and wishful. In the accident, the insult, the illness, let us try to identify the kindness of Life and our bodies, pointing out our untapped reserves.
But this does not mean spiritual passivity. Many believers are caught in this trap. Let's create! God is not lying down either. Creation is a continuous, never-ending process. It is not true that God created the world. He is still creating it. The universe is expanding ever faster. An endless game. We are part of it. We create our future and our reality. With God at our backs, we can do it! A more correct term is with God consciousness within... This can only be done through 100% trust and 100% love. I recognize that this sounds like bullshit and that it's not exactly easy. I'd guess myself "halfway there" and I'm probably still cheering myself on quite a bit. But yes, let's root for each other. Let's want the best for each other. Let's see ourselves as winners and kings. If it's in line with the whole, there's no better life strategy. Let's be at least a little unreasonable and take a chance. Let's untie the ropes. Let us set sail with a vision of favorable winds and Paradise on the horizon...
