Chinese media group CMG held a spectacular cultural event in Rome to mark the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Italy - launching Chinese Film Week, unveiling a new Olympic documentary and presenting programmes in stunning 8K quality.
The ceremony was attended by dignitaries from both countries, including CMG President Shen Haixiang, Italian Education Minister Giuseppe Valdita, Italian Football Federation chief Gabriele Gravina and Chinese Ambassador to Italy Jia Guide. Over 200 guests from the fields of culture, sport, politics and media witnessed the beginning of a new cultural dialogue between East and West.
The highlight was the opening of the Chinese Film Week 2025, during which Italian audiences will see nine distinctive film works that show the diversity and energy of Chinese culture.
CMG also introduced a new documentary about the Winter Olympicscreated in collaboration with the Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation, the documentary will bring Italian sports and cultural stories to an international audience.
