MOSCOW, 20 February. /TASS/. The Kremlin has announced the date of Russian President Vladimir Putin's speech in the Federal Assembly, the event will take place on February 29. According to the Russian Constitution, the president "addresses the Federal Assembly with an annual report on the situation in the country, on the main directions of the state's domestic and foreign policy."
"On February 29, 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin will deliver his annual Message to the Federal Assembly," the Kremlin press service said in a statement.
According to the Russian Constitution, the President "shall address the Federal Assembly with an annual report on the situation in the country, on the main directions of the internal and foreign policy of the state". In these speeches, the head of state traditionally outlines his assessment of the situation in the country and sets out tasks for the future.
The previous annual speech took place in February 2023. It was the 28th speech in Russia's modern history and the 18th for Vladimir Putin
