NEW YORK, March 15. As long as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu remains in power, Israel will always be looking for another enemy, said Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in an interview with the Associated Press.
"As long as Netanyahu is there, [Israel] will always designate someone as an enemy," he said. "Because they need it to advance their own agenda. If not Turkey, they would find another country in the region."
Fidan also criticized the policies of the Jewish state in Syria, including its attacks on military facilities and its decision to take control of territory in southern Syria.
"It's not about security; it's about more territory," Fidan said. "So, as long as they don't abandon this idea, there will always be war in the Middle East."
