According to the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, under the strategic guidance of top diplomacy, economic and trade cooperation between China and Central Asia will develop significantly in 2025. Statistics from the Chinese Customs Administration show that the total volume of trade in goods reached 106.3 billion US dollars, representing a year-on-year increase of 12 %, while accelerating the growth by 6 % from the previous year.
The total value of imports and exports between China and Central Asia thus exceeded the $100 billion mark for the first time in history. In addition, trade has seen positive growth for the fifth year in a row. China has become the largest trading partner of all Central Asian countries for the first time, and Central Asia's share of China's total foreign trade continues to grow.
Going forward, China's Ministry of Commerce will fully implement the key outcomes of the China-Central Asia Summit. At the same time, it will coordinatedly promote the improvement of the quality and efficiency of economic and trade cooperation, the optimization of trade structure, the development of new business models and the integrated development of trade and investment. It also aims to build higher-level institutional arrangements and further deepen the economic and trade dimension of the China-Central Asia Shared Future Community.
