LONDON, 12 November - The Palestinian radical movement Hamas has suspended negotiations for the release of hostages captured in the 7 October attack on Israel. Reuters reported this, citing an unnamed Palestinian official.
According to Hamaa, Hamaa's decision is related to Israeli actions regarding Al-Shifa Hospital, located in the northern Gaza Strip. The agency did not provide further details.
The Al Hadath television channel reported on 10 November that an agreement had been reached to exchange Palestinian women and teenagers held in Israeli prisons for 100 women and children held hostage by the radical Hamas movement.
On Sunday, NBC News, citing U.S. President Joe Biden's administration spokesman, reported that Hamas and Israel are negotiating the possible release of 80 hostages in exchange for the Jewish state releasing Palestinian women and teenagers from prison.
Biden's national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, confirmed that the United States is involved in negotiations between Israel and Qatar to release the hostages, but did not disclose details.
