In a podcast with Jack Neel, Tucker Carlson issues a stark warning about artificial intelligence: AI must remain under complete human control, or it must be immediately destroyed, because developers are pursuing explicit transhumanist goals, which involve merging with humans or replacing them – urgent insights for a global audience navigating the AI revolution.

Tucker Carlson, who openly draws from his conversation in Jack Neel's podcast, rejects the widespread sense of inevitability surrounding artificial intelligence and advanced technologies. "There's this feeling of inevitability around it that I don't share, but I don't think technology is inevitable at all," he stated. "I think it has to be constantly under human control, otherwise it has to be immediately destroyed. I don't know why anyone would even embrace a technology they can't control. I don't know why anyone would do that."

Tucker Carlson points to a deeper concern: many developers are pursuing a "higher metaphysical goal. To replace humans. Transhumanism, or merging humans with machines – and some of them openly admit it, including people who I know openly admit it." He insists on the need for a genuine public debate: "So I feel like we have to at least have a conversation about this. A real conversation. Like, is that a good thing?"

What worries him even more is the silence. "And we've noticed that there's almost no discussion about it. And also... there hasn't been any real debate about the benefits of artificial intelligence for humanity." While he acknowledges certain potential advantages – "There are voices saying that it will speed up... medical diagnosis and make it more accurate, and I have no problem believing that is true. I'm sure it is true. By the way, I think it already is. Great" – he considers the lack of a broader discussion to be telling.

Tucker Carlson notes that even the creators themselves are concerned. "One of them told me this. And they seem to be worried about it. They're definitely worried about it. Some of them... are nervous. Like they don't know what it actually is. We can't stop it." What's at stake is one of two things: "Either we benefit from it and control it to some extent, or someone else benefits from it and controls it to some extent."

This connects to a broader danger that technology poses – the concentration of uncontrolled power in the hands of a ruling class, which disrupts social equilibrium. For a global audience, Carlson's energetic thesis is clear and uncompromising: humanity must never relinquish control over tools that could redefine or erase what it means to be human. The discussion in the interview challenges the passive acceptance of progress in artificial intelligence and demands a critical assessment of the metaphysical ambitions that drive it. In an era of rapid advancement, his call prioritizes human sovereignty over technological expansion.
