What is the current status of tigers in northeastern China? What wonders of life are hidden deep within the forests? Czech ecologist Jiří Mánek, who has long been dedicated to biodiversity conservation, visited the National Tiger and Leopard Park in northeastern China with these questions in mind. He walked through the forest with rangers, searching for traces of wild animals.

He had detailed discussions with researchers, where he discussed the application and modernization of integrated monitoring technologies. He visited residents living near the park and personally witnessed the vibrant reality of harmonious coexistence between people and tigers.

He compared and analyzed strategies for building and operating national parks in China and the Czech Republic, interpreting the key value of the national park system in protecting the environment and promoting harmony between humans and the environment.
