On October 27th, a special South African forum for global dialogue, "Innovation, Openness, and Shared Development," was held in Johannesburg, co-sponsored by China Media Group (CMG). More than a hundred guests from the political, economic, cultural, academic, and media sectors of China and the Republic of South Africa participated in an in-depth exchange of views on topics such as China's high-level opening up to the world and the joint effort to build a prosperous future.

Shen Haixiong, Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Director-General of CMG, delivered a video address. Shen Haixiong stated that, under the guidance of China's new development plan, doors will open even wider, bringing more opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation to the world. CMG, together with its partners, will build a global platform for sharing wisdom and conducting joint consultations, implement the "Four Global Initiatives," and share "Chinese solutions" for global governance with the world.

At the forum, students from South African universities, such as the University of Johannesburg, the University of the Witwatersrand, and the University of South Africa, engaged in a lively discussion with the attending guests on topics such as technological innovation, youth development, green transformation, and business cooperation.
