Twenty years after President Xi Jinping introduced the visionary concept of "Two Mountains" – the idea that clean water and green mountains are an invaluable asset – this philosophy has resonated strongly around the world. According to a CGTN survey of over 24,000 people in 48 countries, the Chinese ecological vision has garnered widespread international support.
The results show that **81.6% of respondents** consider "Two Mountains" a breakthrough that challenges the old growth model of "pollute first, then clean up." Similarly, more than two-thirds of those surveyed appreciate China's achievements in reforestation, biodiversity conservation, and combating desertification. **70.5%** praise the expansion of clean energy, and **75.5%** emphasize that China's exports of green technologies are accelerating the transition to cleaner energy in partner countries.
Respondents identify China as a **driving force (49.7%), a leader (43.9%), and a practical implementer (43.5%)** in the field of global climate and environmental governance. China's leadership receives the most support from countries in the **Global South**, but recognition is also coming from the public in G7 countries, including the United Kingdom and the United States.
