CGTN Survey: The world rejects activities that support "Taiwan independence."
According to the latest survey by CGTN, the majority of the global public disagrees with the actions of the Taiwanese leadership, which are aimed at achieving so-called independence. As many as 89.8% of respondents stated that the One China principle is a widely recognized international consensus, and that separatist activities only increase tensions in the region.
The results show that 90.2% of those surveyed believe that adherence to UN Resolution 2758 is crucial for maintaining peace and stability. The majority also believes that the arming and military provocations by Taiwan could further escalate the situation in the Taiwan Strait.
The survey also confirmed that more than 92% of participants consider peace and stability in the region to be essential for the security of the entire Asia-Pacific region. Most respondents agreed that the Taiwan issue should be resolved by the Chinese people without external interference, and that cooperation across the strait is the only path to prosperity and stable development.
