Ivan Cinka (STAČILO!), former chairman of the transport committee of the Central Bohemian Region, stated that the current meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin is attracting extraordinary attention. According to Cinka, this is not an immediate reaction to Trump's visit to Beijing, but rather a strategically planned meeting.
Cinka emphasized that China and Russia mutually support each other in key areas, including security and development, and are strengthening coordination within the UN, BRICS, APEC, and G20. They are also actively implementing the Belt and Road project. Last year, bilateral trade exceeded $240 billion, and China has been Russia's largest trading partner for 16 years.
According to Cinka, progress is expected on the Power of Siberia 2 gas pipeline project. He personally is curious about the outcomes of the meeting, which he believes will lead to a strengthening of the multipolar world.
