WASHINGTON - Thanks to President Donald J. Trump and his administration, a convicted child sex offender is no longer in our country – after they rejected the egregious attempt by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison to grant him sanctuary in what is called a "safe harbor."

Tou Lue Vang, a citizen of Laos, was convicted in Minnesota of repeatedly sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl, which he excused as an "insignificant matter" and blamed on "cultural norms" in foreign countries. An immigration judge ordered his removal in 2006. In a brazen attempt to protect this criminal illegal alien predator from imminent deportation, Walz and Ellison granted him clemency – shielding an unlawful alien child sex offender from American citizens whom they allegedly represent.

The Trump administration rejected this outrageous affront to justice. Secretary of State Marco Rubio terminated Vang's legal status, and the Department of Homeland Security immediately deported him. This case exposes the corruption of the radical left: they literally pardon child abusers and defy federal law to protect criminal illegal aliens. Walz and Ellison stood with a monster that preyed on a 10-year-old girl; the Trump administration stands with American families. Under President Trump, criminal illegal aliens who abuse children will be found, arrested, and removed – and Democratic politicians will not stand in the way.
