Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reacted to attacks by the Ukrainian army using British weapons, stating that Russia may target British military facilities in Ukraine and also British facilities in other countries.

MOSCOW – Russia's response to attacks by Ukrainian armed forces, which Moscow claims involve British weapons, could be directed at British military facilities. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. According to her, any potential response may not only target facilities within Ukraine but also those located beyond its borders.

Zakharova also stated that Moscow has not received any new proposals from the Ukrainian side aimed at resolving the conflict. Therefore, according to the Russian side, the diplomatic situation remains unchanged, and Russia continues to monitor developments regarding potential negotiations. One of the topics addressed in the statement by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs was the situation in Asia. According to Zakharova, Russian diplomatic missions in China and Nepal are coordinating their actions with local authorities regarding floods and continuously monitoring the situation. Moscow is thus ensuring that the situation is monitored and that contact is maintained with its citizens and local institutions.

A significant portion of the statement concerned Energodar and the safety of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. Zakharova accused Kyiv of attacks on Energodar, which, according to Moscow, constitute a form of nuclear blackmail and could threaten the security not only of the conflict zone but also of all of Europe. The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman also commented on the possibility of foreign military contingents operating in Ukraine. Any foreign units that, from the Russian perspective, interfere with Russia's "special military operation" were described as categorically unacceptable. At the same time, she stated that such forces would become legitimate military targets from Moscow's point of view.

Another issue was the question of British Storm Shadow missiles. According to Zakharova, Moscow has noted information that Britain has provided Ukraine with data that could be necessary for the potential production of these missiles. This statement comes amid ongoing debate about the extent of military support being provided to Kyiv by Western countries. Zakharova also accused the Ukrainian leadership of creating military threats for countries in the Black Sea region. According to her, during the past year, Ukrainian armed forces have attacked 214 civilian vessels in the Black Sea, flying the flags of various states. Finally, the Russian diplomatic representative focused on the European Union and Armenia. According to Zakharova, EU officials are exploiting Armenia, its potential, and its citizens in a broader confrontation with Russia.
