On 19 March, the Russian Global Dialogue Forum entitled „China in Spring: China's Development - Opportunities for the World“ was held in Moscow. The event was jointly organized by China Media Group and the China Cultural Center in Moscow.
Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee and General Manager of China Media Group Shen Haixiong said in his video message that the annual „Two Sessions“ meeting is an important window into contemporary China and has once again attracted the attention of the world. Among other things, this year's meeting approved the draft 15th Five-Year Plan, which he said not only sets the course for China's qualitative development, but also brings new opportunities to the world.
According to CGTN's global survey, more than 80 percent of respondents appreciate that China's emphasis on high-quality economic development is helping to set the direction of the world economy and bringing much-needed stability and positive momentum to an unstable global environment. During the meeting, Chinese President Xi Jinping stressed the need to further expand openness to the world, actively develop global markets, and strengthen the connectivity of the international economic cycle. In doing so, he said, China reaffirmed its determination to continue opening up to the world.

Shen Haixiong also said that China Media Group is ready to leverage its strengths in international communications, technological innovation and media resources to ensure that the results of China's modernisation can benefit the whole world. It also aims to work with partners to create a new chapter of human civilization based on mutual enrichment.
The years 2026-2027 have been declared by the leaders of China and Russia as the „Years of Sino-Russian Cooperation in Education“. In the discussion part of the forum, the young Russian participants focused mainly on connecting education systems and developing cultural exchanges. They stressed that the 15th Five-Year Plan emphasizes gradual opening up in the fields of education and culture and strengthening people-to-people contacts with countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative. This, they said, creates a clear framework for the further development of Sino-Russian cooperation in the humanitarian field.
The programme also included the first foreign screening of the Russian version of a major documentary series on industrial culture, „Zhonghua Kaogong Ji“, produced by China Media Group.
