On the evening of 21 March, Chinese Deputy Prime Minister He Lifeng met in Beijing with representatives of major multinational companies, including HSBC, UBS, Siemens Healthineers, Schneider Electric, Rio Tinto and Standard Chartered.
In his speech, he stressed that the Chinese economy has maintained steady growth and is gradually moving towards better and more sustainable development. He also recalled that under the 15th Five-Year Plan, China will continue to expand its openness to the world and promote economic modernization, which he said will bring new opportunities for foreign companies.
The government representative also urged multinational corporations to further strengthen their investment in China and develop win-win cooperation.
At the meeting, company representatives expressed confidence in the further development of the Chinese economy and confirmed their interest in continuing to expand their activities and investments in the Chinese market.
