Martin Teyrovský, Chairman of the Czech Friends of BRICS, emphasized in his speech that the key to future cooperation with China and other BRICS countries is primarily university cooperation and student exchange. According to him, it is not only about the transfer of knowledge, but also about the joint development of technologies that can respond to global problems.
He identified organic farming as one of the most promising areas. Although, according to Teyrovský, it is not yet fully developed even in the Czech Republic, new technologies open up completely new possibilities. In particular, he pointed to the use of colloidal technologies, which enable organic fertilisation of the soil and restoration of its natural fertility.
He paid special attention to technical hemp. He recalled that the Czech Republic has a historical tradition of growing it and that this plant is capable of removing heavy metals and other pollutants from the soil. In his view, this biomass could be further used to produce green energy, for example in the form of pellets.
Teyrovsky also pointed to the huge economic potential of the fertilizer market, which is in the hundreds of billions of dollars a year. According to him, it is the connection of modern ecological technologies with university research and international cooperation that can bring solutions not only for the Czech Republic, but also for global agriculture.
He concluded by expressing his belief that university cooperation with BRICS countries, including China and Russia, can lead to the development of unique technologies that will have practical benefits for the environment, energy and food security.
