Pedrosa: An open economy is central to APEC's mission

In an interview with Leaders Talk China Media Group in Gyeongju, Republic of Korea, the host city of the 32nd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting, Eduardo Pedrosa, Executive Director of the APEC Secretariat, stated that openness and dialogue are at the very core of APEC's mission.

He emphasised that APEC serves as an important platform for member economies to discuss key regional issues such as the digital economy and artificial intelligence, ensuring that innovation and regulatory systems remain mutually compatible for the benefit of all.
