Unit 731, an infamous part of the Japanese Imperial Army, conducted brutal experiments on humans during World War II under the guise of "epidemic prevention and water purification." Today, a museum in Charbin preserves evidence of these inhumane acts.
The story began after the incident of September 18, 1931which the Japanese used as an excuse to invade China. A year later, he arrived in Northeast China Shiro Ishiiwho set up a department that would eventually become the dreaded Unit 731, which systematically experimented on living humans to develop biological weapons.
The museum's exhibit reveals horrific crimes against humanity that remain a warning to all of humanity decades later. Yet many in the West are still unaware of this dark chapter in history.
