On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Palace Museum, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, went to the famous Palace Museum (formerly the Forbidden City) on October 27 to see an exhibition entitled "The Centenary Guard - From the Forbidden City to the Palace Museum".
During the visit, he stressed that Palace Museum is the carrier of the cultural genes of the Chinese nation and an important symbol of Chinese civilization. He pointed out that it is necessary to strengthen the protection and restoration of cultural relics, while increasing their popularization and revitalization, so that the Palace becomes an important base for patriotic education and the main window through which the world learns about Chinese civilization.
