According to the initial estimates from Eurostat on June 2nd, inflation in the Eurozone in May would likely be around 3.2%, which is higher than the 3.0% in April.

In terms of the main components, the increase in energy prices is the highest, rising by 10.9% in May, slightly higher than the 10.8% in April. The prices of services increased year-on-year by 3.5%, compared to 3.0% in April. The prices of food, alcohol, and tobacco increased by 2.0 percentage points, compared to 2.4 percentage points in April. The prices of non-energy industrial products increased by 0.9 percentage points, higher than the 0.8 percentage points in April.
