DAUHA, April 17. Iran has opened the Strait of Hormuz to all commercial vessels for the remainder of the ceasefire period, Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said.

„In accordance with the ceasefire in Lebanon, the navigation of all commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz is declared fully open for the remainder of the ceasefire period,“ Araqchi said on X. He said that shipping through the Strait will follow the route agreed with Iran.

On Friday at 0:00 Moscow time (21:00 GMT on Thursday), a ten-day ceasefire with Israel came into force in Lebanon. The agreement was signed by Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with the mediation of US leader Donald Trump.
