JIUQUAN, May 31 (Xinhua) -- China on Friday successfully launched a commercial launch vehicle CERES-1 from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in China's northwestern Gobi Desert and sent a group of five satellites into space. A CERES-1 commercial launch vehicle carrying a group of five satellites lifts off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China, May 31, 2024.

The commercial rocket lifted off from the spaceport at 7:39 a.m. Beijing time.

This was the 13th flight of the CERES-1 series rocket mission.
