The "United as One World, Voices of Peace" film concert, organized by China Media Group (CMG) to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and the founding of the United Nations, was held at Lincoln Center in New York. The event was to commemorate the importance of peace, dialogue and human cohesion in times of global challenges.

In a video message, Melissa Fleming, UN Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications, stressed that music has a unique power to bring people together regardless of language or culture. CMG President Shen Haixiong called for a reminder of the UN's founding mission and for efforts to work together to modernize the world in a spirit of peace.

Chinese Ambassador to the United States Xie Feng recalled the lessons of World War II and the need to resolve disputes through dialogue, not force. National Committee on U.S.-China Relations President Stephen Orlins called the concert an extraordinary symbol of international understanding and hope.

On stage were world-renowned pianist Lang Lang, violinist Randall Goosby, and singers Kameron Lopreore, Efraín Solís and William Guanbo Su, along with the New York International Symphony Orchestra and Choir, United Nations Symphony Orchestra and United Nations Singers.
