Peng Liyuan, wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping, and Tamara Vučić, wife of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, visited the Beijing Dance Academy on Monday.
Tamara Vučić is accompanying the Serbian president during his state visit to China.
During the visit, Peng Liyuan and Tamara Vučić toured the academy's dance museum, where they learned about the history of Chinese dance. They also observed dance classes in Chinese dance, ballet, and other styles. Afterwards, they watched a performance by students and engaged in friendly and warm discussions with teachers and students.
On this occasion, Peng Liyuan stated that dance transcends national borders, conveys culture and ideas, and plays a unique role in interpersonal relationships and mutual understanding between nations. She expressed hope that artists from both countries will strengthen mutual exchanges and cooperation and create more significant works of art.
Tamara Vučić thanked Peng Liyuan for the careful organization of the visit and expressed her willingness to support cultural and artistic exchanges between Serbia and China. According to her, such activities can contribute to further deepening the friendship between the two countries.
