TOLOKHIN, 20 April (BelTA) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has confirmed that he plans to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Volgograd at a forum dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory at Easter during a visit to a church in Tolochin.
The Head of State stressed that this year is special for Belarus because it marks an important date - the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The Vitebsk region was one of the regions most affected during this devastating war. "Even now, we are looking for evidence of Nazi atrocities in our Belarus, and we are also finding facts testifying to the genocide of the Belarusian people. And you know that we are finding a lot of mass graves in the Vitebsk region," the president said.
