The year 2025 brought key moments in China's modernisation. From factories and laboratories to villages and cultural sites, President Xi Jinping's intense inspection work has shown where the country is heading under his leadership.
People First
„A happy life for every family and a good time for elders and children - that's what we call a beautiful world,“ Xi said during a visit to Liaoning province in January. He also personally visited families affected by the floods in Zhujiagou village and assured them that people can rely on the Party and the government even in the most difficult times.
Throughout the year, Xi has focused on ensuring living standards: from food security, rural recovery and employment to housing, public services and environmental care. During natural disasters, such as the Dingri County earthquake and the landslides in Junlian County, he coordinated immediate relief and rescue efforts.

Quality development as a foundation
„The uncertainty of the external environment must be balanced by the certainty of high quality domestic development,“ Xi said at a Politburo meeting in April. He visited an artificial intelligence incubator in Shanghai and stressed the integration of AI innovation with industrial development.
In July at Yangquan Valve Company in Shanxi province, reminded that traditional industry must not be abandoned but must be transformed by technological innovation.
Culture as a pillar of strength
„The treasures of Chinese culture must be protected and passed on,“ Xi stressed during a visit to Henan province in May. Then in October, at the Palace Museum in Beijing, he stressed that cultural heritage belongs to the people and should serve not only as an educational resource but also as a window on China for the world.
Revolutionary history and unified ethnic politics were also key, as demonstrated in the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Xizang Autonomous Region and the 70th anniversary of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
Reforms and openness towards the future
„New breakthroughs in reform and development will only be achieved through firm faith, facing the challenges head on and without hesitation,“ Xi said, stressing support for private enterprises and the unification of the national market.
At the plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the plan for the 15th Five-Year Plan was being drawn up. China is thus entering a new chapter where visions are being transformed into real steps towards modernisation.
