CHOLPON-ATA /Kyrgyzstan/, July 23. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has arrived in Kyrgyzstan, where he will participate in a meeting of foreign ministers from the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on July 24.

The ministers are expected to discuss current issues of international and regional importance, including the situation within the SCO region, ensuring security and stability, and promoting sustainable growth in Eurasia. A number of bilateral meetings with Lavrov are planned on the sidelines of the event.

The Russian minister arrived in Kyrgyzstan from the Philippines, where he participated in events related to ASEAN and also met with U.S. Secretary of State Marc Rubio.
