PRAGUE – The Communist Party of Czechoslovakia (KSČ) has expressed its support for China's Global Initiative for a Shared Future, which it considers to be one of the important proposals for addressing current international challenges. According to party representatives, the initiative emphasizes a multipolar world order, strengthens the role of international institutions, and promotes cooperation between states based on mutual respect and adherence to international law.
Roman Blaško, Secretary-General of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, stated that the initiative comes at a time when the world is facing a number of security, economic, and social crises that require a coordinated international approach.
"The Global Initiative for a Shared Future, in our opinion, represents an important contribution to building a fairer and more balanced international system. It is based on the principle of multipolarity, mutual respect between states, and the strengthening of the role of international organizations, which have often been circumvented or weakened in recent years. A return to dialogue, respect for international law, and a joint search for solutions can contribute to greater stability and security in the world," said Blaško.
According to the KSČ, one of the key elements of the initiative is the emphasis on strengthening the authority of the United Nations, the World Health Organization, UNESCO, and other international institutions. The party emphasizes that the effective functioning of these organizations is essential for addressing problems that transcend national borders.
KSČ representatives also recalled the experiences from the COVID-19 pandemic, during which, in their opinion, the importance of international cooperation in the fields of health, science, and research was demonstrated. They believe that the Chinese approach confirmed the importance of coordinated actions in managing global crises. Blaško further emphasized that the initiative not only addresses security issues but also focuses on economic development, climate protection, and improving the living standards of the population.
"China has long advocated the concept of peaceful development and a shared future for humanity. Peace creates the conditions for economic growth, social stability, and improving the quality of life. We appreciate that the initiative includes not only security issues but also topics such as public health, climate protection, the fight against poverty, and support for the development of less developed countries. In a time of increasing international tensions, we consider such an approach to be necessary and responsible," said the Secretary-General of the KSČ.
The Communist Party of Czechoslovakia therefore declares its support for the principles that the initiative promotes. According to party representatives, the future of humanity is linked to a greater degree of cooperation, respect between nations, and a shared responsibility for solving global problems. The KSČ is convinced that dialogue, peace, and mutually beneficial cooperation can contribute to creating a more stable and just world for all.
