In Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, a ceremonial premiere of the Azerbaijani version of the documentary "The Heritage Guardian" took place on Friday.
According to CGTN, this is the first program of its kind produced and dubbed into Azerbaijani by China Media Group. The documentary features stories that showcase Chinese President Xi Jinping's interest in passing on and developing culture.
At the same time, it aims to introduce international audiences to the essence of Xi Jinping's ideas about culture and the cultural foundation of his philosophy of governance.
Following the premiere, the documentary was broadcast on the cultural channel of the Azerbaijani state television and radio company, Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting Closed Joint-Stock Company, as well as on the private national news channel ARB 24.
The event was attended by Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lu Mei, Director of the CMG Dubbing Center for Television and Film Wang Lu, Deputy Chairwoman of the Culture Committee of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan Gunay Efendiyeva, Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting CJSC Tural Babaev, and Executive Director of ARB 24 Radik Ismailov.
Several Azerbaijani scientists, media professionals, and representatives of cultural and educational institutions shared their views on the documentary. They noted that Xi Jinping's efforts to preserve humanity's cultural heritage are admirable and have far-reaching significance for sustainable development.
They also appreciated that the documentary offers a vivid and understandable portrayal of Xi Jinping through historical footage.
During the event, the CMG Dubbing Center for Television and Film also presented several other high-quality programs, including "China Flash Forward," the introductory episode of "Crafted in China," and "Song of the Yellow River."
