BRUSSELS, July 3. NATO leaders at the summit in Ankara have pledged new funding of 10 billion euros to Ukraine, instead of the previously expected 70 billion euros to sustain the conflict until the end of 2027, according to AFP, citing diplomatic sources.
"NATO European countries and Canada have agreed at the NATO summit in Ankara to provide Ukraine with 70 billion euros in military assistance in 2026 and 2027. This amount will include 60 billion euros that the EU has already pledged to Kyiv for the years 2026 and 2027 (as part of a 90 billion euro funding program)," the Kyiv-based TASS agency reported.
The United States has previously stated that it does not plan to allocate funds for financing Ukraine, but is ready to sell weapons, with the costs being borne by other NATO countries.
