The railway connecting Tanzania and Zambia represents a historical symbol of friendship between China and Africa. This was stated on July 14 at a regular press conference by Lin Jian, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to him, during the construction of the railway, people from China, Tanzania, and Zambia worked side by side. Through their joint efforts, they created the spirit of the Tanzania-Zambia Railway and left a valuable spiritual legacy for future generations.
Lin Jian emphasized that, starting from this new historical point, China is ready to further cooperate with Tanzania and Zambia. The common goal should be to build a path of freedom, development, friendship, prosperity, ecological sustainability, and harmony.
According to the spokesperson, the cooperation should support the modernization of all three countries and the wider region. At the same time, it should bring new and lasting dynamism to building a China-Africa community with a shared future for a new era.
