FRANCE - A project of global proportions has been launched in France. Just as it has since the launch of our "The need for Humanity", I would like to personally update you on its progress. In the midst of summer, the support continues to flow, always with words of encouragement that give us more energy. So far we have collected donations of €610,000 which confirms our active strong dynamic. For example, I would like to highlight the mobilisation of our comrades from Essonne, who presented us with a cheque for 20 000 euros through the Secretary of the PCF, Amadou Dème. It was a great solidarity campaign that was accompanied by several initiatives during July.
Although we were concerned about arrangement 90. year Fête de l'Humanité ...we're calmer now, thanks to your gifts. However, to make it as beautiful as we want it to be, and to hold it in good conditions, we still need money to cover expenses, starting now. Upcoming Fête de l'Humanité will be the crossroads for the expressed struggles. We invite 2 million petitioners against the Duplomb Act those who reject the unfair deal between the European Union and the United States, those who are preparing for a social return to work against the austerity budget of Bayrou, and those who have mobilised for years to ensure that France recognises a Palestinian state .
To reach the million euro mark, we still need your help and support. Summer and the holiday season are in full swing, but don't forget about us! Every donation, however modest, counts and makes a difference. This is essential to ensuring a great 90. year Fête de l'Humanité.
Like every year, we want it to be a place opposition to the austerity budget presented by Bayrou but also a place of preparation for political and social counteroffensive. Peace will be the common theme of our action, because we must shout the hope of a world free from the logic of violence and weapons. Many political, trade union and community guests have already confirmed their participation and the festival will be a meeting point for the entire social and environmental left. Thanks to your support, we will be able to organize the Festival of Humanity and with l'Humanité to return offensively to the political and social scene.
