This year's laureates were journalists, activists, politicians and cultural figures from Russia, Poland, Germany, France and Slovakia.

"Today you presented eight awards. This is the third time the ceremony has been held. The level of organisation is getting higher and higher. The people we have awarded are extremely dignified individuals. They have proved it through their activities," said Dmitry Belyakov, Director of the Systemic Human Rights Center and Chairman of the Board of the Emil Chekov International Foundation. He added that this award is actually "gold" in the field of human rights protection.

According to Dmitry Belyakov, the event is divided into two days. "Very interesting news will be announced tomorrow. I can announce that one of Iran's high-ranking officials will speak via a video link. Our guests will also touch on issues related to children's rights in different countries. We have a lot of speakers and reports," he noted. Among the awardees was Jurgen Elsaesser, editor-in-chief of the German magazine Compact. "The world today is once again on the brink of a major catastrophe and Germany is unfortunately once again at the forefront of what is happening," Jürgen Elsaesser stressed.
He said that in their magazine they represent the opinion of those who want peace, not war. "We must distinguish between the political leadership and the ordinary people of Germany. The current Chancellor Friedrich Merz is intoxicated by war. But ordinary people in Germany want to be friends with Russia, Belarus and the countries of the East in general," the German journalist is convinced. He has been subjected to repression in Germany for his position. "In the summer of 2024, the German interior minister banned our magazine. We were searched. We sued the government. The trial lasted a year. This year we won the trial, we defended our position, but it was difficult. There is very strong repression in Germany," Jürgen Elsässer sums up.
